Director Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR takes place in a future in which severe drought has killed most of the world's crops, and humans are dying of starvation and disease on a doomed, dust-covered Earth. Daily sandstorms have become a part of their life. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) is a former NASA pilot/engineer who, like the majority of Americans, has had to trade in his defunct career to work as a farmer. Cooper lives with his 15 year old son Tom(Timothée Chalamet), 10 year old daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy) and his aged father-in-law Donald(John Lithgrow). Cooper's scientific curiosity is passed down to his daughter who swears there's a ghost in her bedroom leaving her messages in code. Cooper doesn't believe at first but then helps Murph decipher one of the codes, leading them to a secret lab run by Professor Brand (Michael Caine), who heads what's left of NASA. Brand reveals that 10 years back they sent a group of scientists through a wormhole leading to another galaxy in search for a possible hospitable planet for mankind to call it home. But now they have lost contact with the team and so Brand convinces Cooper to be the life-and-death mission's pilot, with the understanding that his time spent in outer space could mean missing many years on Earth years(Due to time dilation) that he'd be away from his children. Thinking for his children's future Cooper agrees to Brand's offer and leaves on the mission. As the team tries to survive unthinkable odds, back on Earth, Murph grows into a brilliant scientist (Jessica Chastain) obsessed with finding her lost-in-space father.
Interstellar is a fresh new mantle piece in Nolan's movies, easily taking the top spot. This movie is a wonderful tale of love, science and sacrifice and maintains that balance very well. Pace of the movie is perfect and audience will be biting their nails all the time. Though this movie has many over-the-top science paradigms, it explains each and every concept effortlessly in a very simplified manner for the less scientifically inclined audience. Maestro Hans Zimmer again collaborates with Christopher Nolan to create wonderful background music for the movie all of which are no less than wonders.
Interstellar is a must watch for all the sci-fi movie lovers as well as for people looking to watch a simple classic tale of love and sacrifice.

Love is the only thing that transcends space and time.
