Power of friendship and the bonds that comrades share, this is the main plot of Fairy Tail. Set in a fictional world of mages and guilds, the story follows the adventures of Natsu Dragneel, a member of the popular wizard guild Fairy Tail, as he searches the fictional world of Earth-land for the dragon Igneel. Based on a manga by Hiro Mashima, the TV series was only supposed to run for 48 episodes. But it proved so popular, it was expanded to more than 170 episodes, and has already spun off one feature, several OVA’s and loads of character merchandise.
The anime revolves around the main protagonist Natsu and his friends Lucy, Happy, Erza and Gray. As the anime moves forward, other members of the guild are introduced to us as well as other guilds and members and the relations they share with each other. The world is diverse and rich with a whole lot of characters, each having their own backstories. The fights between different mages using diverse kinds of magics is really fun to watch. The background scroes of this anime are one of the best and instantly pumps us up.
Fairy Tail is one of those anime where we already know the ending but we will still stay to watch the entire scenario play out. The fights are one of the best in this genre, mixed with its awesome background scores, it's on a different class of it's own. Though the dialogues are somewhat cringe and women here are sometimes over-sexualized little bit, Fairy Tail is worth-watching. With more than 300+ episodes, Fairy Tail provides a "typical anime" experience to viewers of all ages.
